Carl Lombardi

Carl R. Lombardi (psudonym CralZombo) is originally from Conway, Arkansas but currently calls home Raleigh / Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This is his 6th year touring with Poetry Alive!

Carl received his degree in English from Hendrix College in Conway, AR and practices his own poems when not on the road with Poetry Alive! He never expected to be an actor, but has been writing poetry since 10th grade and started reciting poems in college. Later for fun he started performing poems, including his own, at open mics and poetry slams.

Carl loves it when students have as much fun with the poems and as he does. His favorite poem is “Jabberwocky” by Lewis Carroll because it is an epic in just 7 stanzas. The poem tells the reader something is happening, but it is up to them to invent what it is.
