Christy Parker's hometown is Grenada, Mississippi. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Theatre from the University of Mississippi. This is her 2nd season touring with Poetry Alive!

Christy first felt the draw to a life of theatre after she performed the role of Kate in Shakespeare’s ‘The Taming of the Shrew” in her 8th grade English class.

Her favorite part of Poetry Alive! is when she sees the faces of students light up because they are enthusiastic and happy to see the actors performing poetry. Christy loves to feel good knowing she has done something positive for a young person.

Christy loves listening to music, dancing and karaoke. However she does not eat any cheese on her pizza.

Her favorite poems are Boom the Thunderdragon by Jack Prelutsky and Still I Rise by Maya Angelou.
