Having worked as a teacher and an actor, Travis McKinley loves to perform educational theatre. Travis has taught elementary grades at a charter school for arts and technology, and he has taught middle grades at a private Quaker school. His dozens of acting credits include Scrooge in the world premiere of A Christmas Carol, adapted by John Jakes, at Hilton Head Playhouse; Jim in A Moon for the Misbegotten at Theatre Gael in Atlanta; and multiple roles in The Good Doctor at Missouri Repertory Theatre. His experience in educational theatre includes fifteen national tours with Chamber Theatre Productions of Boston, performing adaptations of literary classics by Hawthorne, Irving, Poe, Twain, and others. Travis is a graduate of Georgia Southern University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Communication Arts. His very first stage appearance was in kindergarten, when he performed "Little Jack Horner" by Mother Goose. Nowadays, Travis is thrilled to be in the company of "The Tyger," "The Raven," "Little Orphant Annie," and "Father William," touring with Poetry Alive!
